Our 28cm wok with two durable cast iron handles and stainless steel steaming insert is one of the most versatile pieces of cookware in the Falk range. Classic curved sides are complimented by a contemporary flat bottom for stability.  As well as steaming, deep-frying, stir-frying, braising, and poaching, this wok can go into the oven due to the two loop handles. When starting dishes on the hob, you can pop into the oven for a slow-cooked finish. Possessing accurate temperature regulation and exclusive Falk brushed finishes.

Use tips

  • Ideal for both electric and gas hobs.
  • Oven safe to 230°C/450°F/Gas Mark 8.
  • Because of its superior conductivity, copper cookware rarely requires full heat on a hob, typically no more than 50-75% of full power.  Use a lower flame when cooking with gas.
  • We recommend seasoning pan interiors with a vegetable oil occasionally prior to frying and sautéing, and always use a small amount of oil when pre-heating.

Care tips

  • Always allow pots and pans to cool before cleaning.
  • Do not put copper cookware in a mechanical dishwasher.
  • We do not recommend the use of products containing bleach for cleaning copper cookware.
  • Hand washing in warm soapy water is normally all that is required.  Always dry immediately after washing with a soft cloth.
  • Copper will develop a rich patina over time.  This will not affect cooking performance.
  • To keep copper pans looking like new, use a polish suitable for copper and a fine abrasive pad.
  • Apply a light coat of vegetable oil to cast iron handles from time to time to prevent rusting.

I'm in love. I have been coveting this wok for a long time, but felt like it was too extravagant a purchase as I already have a serviceable carbon steel wok that I've been using for many years. However, after knocking over my lightweight one-handled steel wok yet again, and re-seasoning it yet again...I decided it was worth the investment. Have not regretted it: the Falk wok has been put into constant service; it's great for stir frying and steaming, and I plan on using it for much more as time goes on. I just leave it on my stove top, ready for action. The copper means heat control is superlative, and the weight makes it extremely stable but it's not unwieldy. I prefer the loop handles - it means it can do double duty easily in the oven, so it's super versatile. And gorgeous.
